Gastric Band Summit

Held annually, the Gastric Band Summit brings together some of the world’s leading experts in obesity and bariatric and metabolic treatments.

Obesity is not just a problem for people in the U.S. Worldwide, an estimated 1.5 billion people suffer from obesity and the incidence of obesity has been growing at an alarming rate over the last several decades.

The goal of the Gastric Band Summit is to find new and innovative methods for improving the procedure and its outcomes so that more patients can experience the health and lifestyle benefits of significant weight loss. The goal is to reduce complications and optimize weight loss through a summit where the best minds in their respective fields can gather to share information, review new developments and improve the state of patient care overall.

Our own Dr. Keith Kim, Co-Medical Director of the Metabolic Medicine and Surgery Institute at Florida Hospital Celebration Health, is a co-director of this summit and is participating in this global effort to address the obesity problem through surgery and lifestyle changes.
